Grade: 12 (Double blocked/Full Year) Credit: 4

Location: CTEC/Clinical Site (Students provide their own transportation to clinical sites.)

Prerequisite: Must meet GCC Requirements and Application. Must be 16 years of age on the first day of course.

Class Fee: GCC DE tuition (approximately $318.00) Students may qualify for scholarship assistance from the Germanna Foundation after acceptance to the program.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) respond to emergency calls and perform medical services while transporting patients to medical facilities.

If you are looking to be challenged in a job that is described as one where you should have a strong stomach, then becoming an EMT may be the career path for you.
