Do you have a passion to work with brick and stone?

Mason workers use brick, concrete and concrete blocks, as well as natural and man-made stones to create structures.

Mason workers often work outdoors and prefer hands-on projects. Hand-eye coordination, good visualization and a steady hand, make good masons for their ability to apply mortar, set stone and remove excess in a stream-lined fashion. Strong physical stamina is also a plus for a mason. Masonry may be a career path for you.

Career Pathways: Foreman, Foreman Superintendent, Supervisor Manager, Controller, Maintenance Director, Construction Manager, Business Owner.

Typical Pay: The median wage for a mason worker was $46,500 in May 2019.
