
Today, for Career Cafe' we had special guest speaker and registered nurse Alana speak about her career to students.

Floyd T. Binns is hosting a Hawaiian themed 5k run! On April
13th, at Eastern View High School, you can run or walk to
support our school. This run is for fun, so wear your best
Hawaiian shirt and register for the run. You will receive a t-shirt
when registered in advance as well as a Hawaiian Lei at the
race.
There will be prizes for the “most festive” and “best
dressed”, so don’t hold back on your Hawaiian running gear!
Look for information on flyers and posters around the school.
Forms are coming home with you as well so you can register.
The last day to register is March 26th in order to get a t-shirt.
Otherwise, you can register anytime or even the day of the
run! Invite all your running buddies, friends, and family
members. This is a fundraising event and all are welcome to
support our school.


Interested in becoming a FTB Cheerleader? There will be an informational meeting for parents and athletes on April 25th at 6 pm in the FTB Gym. Cheer Tryouts will be May 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th. Tryouts will be from 4:30 - 6:30 on the 6th, 7th, and 10th, and from 8:50 am - 11 am on the 11th. Athletes will need a valid VHSL physical to participate. Tryouts are open to all *upcoming* 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. No experience is required. Contact Coach Boggs with any questions.

It was another amazing Career Café in the library today! The guest speaker was School Resource Officer, Deputy Carter. He spoke about his career and what made him choose it, and also shared stories from his experiences.





A huge shoutout to our District 13 Middle School Honors Choir who performed on Feb. 9 and 10 at Fluvanna HS. Way to go Blackhawks!





NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
The Culpeper County School Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal 2025 budget for Culpeper County Public Schools on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the County Administration Office, 302 N. Main Street. Parents and citizens are encouraged to provide input regarding their views of the educational needs of our students and priorities of our school division.
The School Board believes strongly that community input is vital to the budget process. All concerned Culpeper County citizens are encouraged to attend the School Budget Public Hearing.


Floyd T. Binns & Culpeper Middle School FFA Chapters will be hosting a bake sale at Tractor Supply in Culpeper this Monday, February 19th from 4-6pm!
Come by and support our local chapters by buying baked goods from our members as well as a raffle for a personalized drawing of your pet! Tractor Supply will also be selling their FFA Paper emblems this week during check out, the sale of these emblems support chapters like ours in receiving up to $5,000 through their "Grant for Growing". Support our small but growing chapters!!


FTB Middle School Agriscience and FFA are conducting a tulip bulb fundraiser. These tulips are prepped to be planted as soon as they arrive and will fully bloom by mid-summer. Order online by February 20th! Bulbs will be shipped from March to April. Thank you for supporting FTB FFA!

FTB FFA Horse Judging Team visited Virginia Tech this past weekend and competed in their first Career Development Event for Hippology and Horse judging. They are moving on to the qualifying event in Lexington this April! Career Development Events give FFA members the opportunity to discover something they are passionate about and may pursue a career in after high school. Let’s congratulate these students!
