Today, our Culinary Arts Level I students focused on one of the most important fundamentals of professional cooking: knife skills. Students practiced a variety of classic cuts, including julienne and dice, while also learning the importance of safety, consistency, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Flyer for the Trailblazer Trot 5K and the Monster Mile at CTEC. Event date: Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 17441 Frank Turnage Drive, Culpeper, VA 22701. The Monster Mile starts at 8:00 am, and the 5K starts at 8:30 am. Registration costs: $15 for 1 mile, $25 for 5K. Registration includes a T-shirt if registered by October 9. Proceeds benefit scholarships for CTEC students for college or trade school training. Costumes encouraged. The flyer features a large medal with the CTEC compass logo, a bat flying across the moon, and colorful cartoon mummies running against a spooky Halloween-themed background with bare trees. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and CTEC HOSA is once again hosting a LEGO drive in memory of Kendrick Jenkins. 🧩💛

We’re asking our community to donate new, unopened LEGO sets to bring joy to children battling cancer in local hospitals.

Last year, thanks to your generosity, we collected over 200 LEGO sets — and this year, we’re aiming even higher!
