They explained the mechanics of water filtration systems and explained how every little bit counts when helping to spread awareness. Additionally, they shared their efforts in bringing libraries to impoverished schools, highlighting the transformative power of education. Students in Mrs. Dillon's Reading class, along with all other 3rd grade classes, have been busy studying Water Conservation & Pollution. The unit concludes with a Project Based Assessment, where students research additional information in order to create a public service announcement, with the goal of educating others about why water is important, ways to conserve water, and how to prevent water pollution. Students were then given the opportunity to present their announcement to the class. Students had the choice to create a poster, a flyer, a brochure, or a booklet. Watch out world! The next group of conservationists are learning how to keep you clean and healthy!

Mrs. Bopp's reading class earned a prize for being safe, kind and responsible. They voted on playing with shaving cream! Students enjoyed smearing, drawing and writing. For a bonus, the room smelled so fresh when we were done!
